Saturday roll-off will be at the usual time (1 PM). Sunday will have an early roll-off at 9.30 AM.
The rides are up on the high plateau and around the wind farms of SiKhio DIstrict, just past Pak Chong, Korat.
The area where the ride will be is also called Khao Yai Tiang, named for the mountain where the wind farms are located, overlooking the scenic Lam Takhong Reservoir and Dam.
The Saturday ride is approximately 35 km long without checks. It is a mix of single track and old country dirt roads, some of which have been taken over by the jungle. There are long downhill stretches with fantastic scenery. There is a challenging stretch that the hares have cut through the jungle to get to the top of a steep slope, near the end of the Saturday ride. The Sunday ride will be around 15 km with some great family friendly single track and superb close-up views of wind turbines. It will be a lot of fun and guaranteed to put smiles on faces.
A lot of the ride is 700 m above sea level and being November, except pleasant temperatures – bring your cameras!!
